Working with me starts and ends with the audit.

Most of what people want when they reach out is help. The audit is how I give it.

It's also, in most cases, the only direct work I do for a client. The build that follows — the websites, the systems, the campaigns — is delivered by the team at Publishing Rebel. My role is the architecture: I look at your business carefully, tell you what I see, and design the solution. They build it. That separation is intentional. It's how the work stays sharp on both ends.

What the audit is.

It's a deep read of your business. Not a 30-minute call with a checklist. I look at how you actually acquire clients, where leads come from, what happens after they arrive, where the money is leaking, what's compounding and what isn't. I look at your market, your competitors, the platforms you depend on, and the specific gaps in how your business is set up to grow.

You give me access to what's already there — your site, your systems, whatever data you have — and I do the work. Then we have a conversation. I tell you what I found, what I'd recommend, and whether what you need is something the team can help with or something you can act on yourself.

The audit is free. I do this free because I can't help you well without it. The more I understand about your business — how it works, where it leaks, what you're trying to build — the more useful I can be. Paid recommendations made on incomplete information aren't worth anyone's money. A real read, done carefully, is the only honest place to start.

What happens after.

If the audit surfaces work worth doing, and the team at Publishing Rebel is the right fit to do it, you'll know exactly what's recommended and why before anything is scoped. Sometimes the recommendation is a website rebuilt to actually convert. Sometimes it's a CRM that captures and follows up so leads stop dying in inboxes. Sometimes it's a campaign that finally has solid ground to point to. Sometimes it's all three, sequenced.

But the audit is what determines that. Not a sales call, not a discovery questionnaire, not a quote based on a five-minute conversation. The audit.

If the work isn't a fit — or if you'd rather take what you learned and act on it yourself — that's also a legitimate outcome. The audit is the work I'd want done first regardless of who ended up doing the build.

One thing to know before you book.

I don't take on clients without an audit. There's no fast track, no skip-ahead, no "can we just talk about pricing for a website." The audit is how I stay useful, and it's how you make sure what you end up paying for is the right thing. If that's not the kind of process you're looking for, that's fine — and it's a sign we're probably not the right fit anyway.
